DIY: Trick or Treat Bag Envelopes

Yay it’s finally here! October! My favorite month of the year and the month of Halloween!

Although Halloween is still almost a month away, I still consider this entire month as “Halloween month” when it comes to my crafts and mail art. πŸ˜€ So today I’m showing you how you can make pretty Halloween envelopes out of trick or treat paper bags. It’s really easy!

Aren’t they cute? πŸ™‚

What you’ll need:

  • Trick or treat paper bags (I bought a pack of 8 for $1 at the dollar store)
  • Tape
  • Stickers, paper etc to decorate them

You can use any kind of lunch bags for this tutorial too.

All you have to do is tape the bottom of the bag to the bag like I did with the left one:

Next you can decorate the envelopes..and put a piece of paper or label on the front for the address:

Make sure you leave about 1 cm space on the open side so you can fold it over and seal the envelope with tape once you’ve put the letter inside:

Have fun making your own Halloween trick or treat envelopes! πŸ™‚

P.S.: Here are some more fall & Halloween envelopes I’ve made:

Hebst du mir so einen Umschlag auf und verschickst deinen nΓ€chsten Brief darin, auch wenn Halloween dann bestimmt schon vorbei ist? *lach*

What a cool idea! I know this is an older post but just found your blog and was looking around. I think I’ll try this with some bags I have. Do they require a lot of extra postage?

Hi Lynn, thanks for your comment! πŸ™‚ The treat bag envelopes do not require any extra postage. I used the normal forever stamps on them. πŸ™‚
