More Christmas mail!

I just went outside to get the mail and I got a big surprise: 2 packages from my pals in Wisconsin and Norway as well as two more Christmas cards from Germany. β™₯ Even though I cannot open the packages until Christmas Eve, I still consider today a good mail day! πŸ˜€

Aren’t the cards cute? πŸ˜€

And I thought I’d show you our dining room with our Christmas tree (and cat =^.^=)..

Two more days until Christmas!! πŸ˜€

P.S.: I joined Swap-bot yesterday and now I’m waiting for the first swaps to start..I’m so excited! I’ve heard so much about Swap-bot but never actually signed up until now. Are you on Swap-bot? And what are your favorite swaps?

Slow mail week

This past week has been a slow mail week. I received a total of 1 letter, 1 Christmas present, 3 Christmas cards and 1 postcard. I also mailed out the last Christmas cards and letters…

Incoming mail

A postcard from my husband’s friend who went on a business trip to Singapore…and look at the pretty stamp with the shimmering fish he used:

Outgoing mail

Letter & Christmas card to one of my American penpals:

A Christmas card to another American pal:

And a letter to a German penpal:

And now I have to patiently wait for new letters from my penpals. I hope I’ll receive lots of them soon…because I have a ton of hand made envelopes I want to use! πŸ˜‰

After spending most of yesterday in bed, drinking tea and sleeping, I’m feeling better today..but still not 100%. I’m planing on writing my fourth “Lovely Letter” to my project partner tonight and bake cookies since I didn’t feel up for it yesterday. Hope you all had a great weekend!

Busy, busy, busy…

What a week! It feels like the closer Christmas gets, the busier I get. I’m not only busy with work but also with life. But: this week I was able to send almost all of my Christmas mail and I decorated our home for Christmas. It feels a lot more like Christmas now, even though we still don’t have any snow yet. It’s unusual warm in Maine for this time of the year. It feels more like spring than winter when I go outside. Well, lets hope we’ll still get some snow for Christmas. πŸ™‚

Today is the 2nd Advent and I finally started baking my Christmas cookies. I only made one kind today though and I’ll bake some more this week and next weekend.

Do you bake cookies for Christmas? And have you decorated your homes already?

I have mostly only outgoing Christmas cards and a package to show you this week…only wrote two letters because I was so busy. Now I have 4 more letters to write to Germany and the US…hopefully I’ll be able to finish them by next weekend. πŸ˜€

Outgoing mail

I love my new gift wrap so much that I wrapped the package to one of my friends with it. Hope it’ll arrive without getting damaged!

Incoming mail

I also received some mail this week….mainly Christmas related though:

A swap from Honduras and a letter from my “Lovely Letters” project.

Cute Christmas stickers from Honduras β™₯

I also received the first Christmas cards from the US, Germany, South Korea and Honduras:

And last but not least I received a huuuge package from my dear Mom in Germany who sent me a ton of German Christmas chocolate & other candy because she knows how much I miss that stuff…especially at this time of the year. Thanks so much! πŸ˜€

This week’s incoming and outgoing mail β™₯

Another week is over and I’ve sent and received lots of mail πŸ˜€ If the USPS ever goes bankrupt, it will definitely NOT be my fault πŸ˜‰

Incoming mail

Two great letters from two wonderful German penpals:

I love the hand made moose envelope! πŸ˜€

I also received some cool postcards this week….one from a sunrise/sunset tag on Postcrossing, one from my friend in Montana and a Postcrossing card from Germany:

And one Postcrossing card from Holland:

This cute envelope came all the way from my dear penpal in South Texas…

…and contained a cute, hand made Thanksgiving card!

And when I got home from work on Friday I found a wonderful letter from my friend in New York and a pretty postcard from China:

I love Christmas-y letters! Such cute stationery & stickers πŸ˜€

And a letter + Christmas package to a dear friend in Europe. β™₯

I’ve also mailed out a bunch of Christmas cards but I’ll talk about them in another post. Happy 1st Advent! πŸ™‚

Mail of the last two weeks

I was pretty busy with work and life the past two weeks so I wasn’t able to show you all the mail I received or mailed out in the past two weeks. Unfortunately I also haven’t taken pictures of every single piece of mail I’ve sent out…

So, here’s some of my mail πŸ™‚

Outgoing mail of just one day: Thanksgiving cards, birthday card, letters and Postcrossing postcards πŸ™‚

And some lovely incoming mail:

A letter and a beautiful Thanksgiving card from my friend/pal in Montana whom I visited this year. I’m truly blessed to have a friend like her πŸ™‚

And here’s a great letter from one of my best friends from Germany. She travels to Norway quite often and always brings/sends me beautiful postcards β™₯ We’ve been pals for several years and we also met when she visited Maine in 2009. πŸ™‚

This amazing & long letter as well as beautiful postcards came from another wonderful penpal in Germany. She loves cute stationery as much as I do πŸ˜€ and she provides me with postcards whenever she goes on trips!

My newest penpal from Norway sent me this amazing package. She doesn’t only share my love for cute tape, stickers and paper (and a million other things ^_^), she also writes awesome letters and I have a feeling that we’ll be penpals vor a VERY long time! πŸ˜€

Look at all the cute things she sent me! Oh my! β™₯

And last but not least I received this cool lighthouse postcard from my postcard pal in the Netherlands who mailed it from a Postcrossing meetup she went to….

…and everyone at the meetup signed it! πŸ˜€

I love each of my penpals and I am so happy to have them in my life! They’re true friends and know how to put a smile on my face. πŸ™‚
